About BloggerTools.net

BloggerTools.net is a social site for bloggers and webmasters. It's designed to allow you to find and share articles, read and take part in discussions, and network with other users. Here's a summary of how to get started:

  • Articles & Discussions: The front page of BloggerTools is what you'll see first when you come into the site. This page shows you articles submitted to BloggerTools which have been voted up by other members of the community. Click the "comments" link below each description to start or join in discussion about the article. If you're busy and want to know what's popular, the BloggerTools front page delivers this to you at a glance. You can also see the latest comments, activity and new submissions in the sidebar. If you prefer to follow BloggerTools via RSS, you can do that, too!
  • Share Your Favorites: Found an article, tool or resource you want to share with others? Click "Submit an article" in the sidebar and enter the URL for that web page. You'll be whisked to a page where you can enter a brief description and then your submission will appear on the Latest page of BloggerTools. If enough people vote for it, your article will move up to the front page. To submit something, you have to become a member. It's free, easy, and only takes a few moments. Sign-up here.
  • Start Discussions: Each article submitted to BloggerTools has a comment form which you can use to start a discussion about the submission. Other users can reply to your comments and you can reply to them, too. If you'd like to discuss something which doesn't have a link, you can post your thoughts in your Journal. Click your avatar and then Journal from the menu on your profile. Like regular submissions, users can reply to you.
  • Network: Looking to meet other bloggers and web enthusiasts? BloggerTools.net makes it easy. Submit interesting articles or make important points in discussions, and people might decide to follow you. "Following" means someone's interested in following what you're doing here. You can view all your fans at any time by clicking Fans on your profile page. Find some of them interesting? Follow them back, and that turns them into friends at BloggerTools. You can even send them private messages!

That's the quick overview of BloggerTools. Other things you can do include browsing categories, tags, or searching for specific articles. There are also tools you can use to bookmark articles on BloggerTools or place a BloggerTools button on your blog, so that your readers can share and vote for your articles on BloggerTools.

Aside from the community itself, BloggerTools has administrators and moderators that watch over things and keep the site ticking along. You can contact them about anything from the Contact page.

Finally, BloggerTools doubles as the demo site for Hotaru CMS, a flexible, PHP-based content management system for building all kinds of websites, including BloggerTools!
